It was a choice between this and the Olympus, i choose this cause it was lighters and it uses leica lenses. I will say it is the perfect camera for travelling cause you're bound to drop it or scratch if you're not careful and hey you can take pictures under water while you snorkel. If you are not...

I use it for vacation pictures when you simply don't want to care about where you place it or where you take pictures. It's been underwater, inside caves, buried in sand, etc. And it still looks and works great!

Great camera. Waterproof and shockproof. Pics and video are both good. Also in HD. I highly recommend this camera
