What program(s) would you recommend for editing video created with the GH1 on a Mac? Also, would you recommend connecting the camera directly via USB or pulling the video files off the SD?

There was a recent firmware update on 17Sept for the GH1 and I updated the body with no problems, but the lens firmware wouldn't update using virtually the same steps for the body. If anyone has experienced this or has any insight in to what i'm doing wrong please let me know. Also I have a intermittent problem when the camera says that the lens isn't connected when it clearly is, the message then just disappears and all is well again, sounds like a loose connection but wondering if... this is a fantastic piece of hardware, but is it really worth $1500? micro four thirds is relatively new so a high price point is expected, but thats somewhat steep. but ill pay every penny for that red one. its a beautiful piece of hardware.
