Image quality is very good ..., and while resolution of fine detail isn’t quite up there with the best APS-C equipped cameras, the GH3 nonetheless performs solidly enough to take on the DSLR competition with conviction.

I bought this little guy as a pocketable alternative to my DSLR and for a better image than the iPhone. It's image quality sits between those two as well; much better than iPhone, not a DSLR. The sensor doesn't have the range of my D5100; it tops out at ISO 800 before you start hitting noise...
