Detailed review
I have owned my Palm Pre since launch day. I am one of the originals. This being my first smart phone, I was extremely excited to start using it. I had been waiting for something to come to Sprint for quite a while. It has been a while since I first used it, but its is still new and exciting to me. About once per month or two, Palm releases updates...Sometimes, they are small usability improvements, but most times they release new features. Coming in Feb. will be video recording/editing. I'm pretty excited for that. Every owner will tell you, the multitasking is awesome. The universal search is amazing too. Its something that you really need to use for a couple weeks wo realize how great it is. You just wont get the full effect until you run into situation that require or are facilitated by both of these features. There are many great thigns about the Pre, but those two have got to be the best.

The insufficient product quality is a common complaint. It hadn't struck me until about a month ago (6 months in). My outside speaker blew due to a loud sound when I had my earbud plugged in one day. Since then, I've gone through 4 refurbs, waiting for my fifth and there is no end in sight currently. I'm not sure if it is Sprint or Palm, but whoever is in charge of quality control on refurbs should be FIRED. And I would say that to their face. It is unreasonable to expect your customers to go through 5-10 (I've heard worse) phones before you can manage to send a working one with no outright flaws. It doesnt have to be perfect, but I shouldnt have to settle for some shoddy phone either. I do believe it to be Sprint who has dropped the ball here.

I would hate to leave you with those words, so I will just say that I have no plans of switching away from my Pre. Until this summer when they release their next device. :)
