Detailed review
I am an early adopter of the Pre on Sprint and have been mostly happy with my experience. The Pre is my first smart phone, but not my first Palm device.

The highlights of the device is the keyboard and ability to have multiple cards open at once. Synergy is also a great way of linking all of the contacts that I have pulled in from everywhere. Until recently, the battery life has been worse than dismal, I would need to charge my phone everyday at 4pm and then on my ride home or it would not make it all the way to bed time. With OS release 1.3.5.1 the battery life is now good. It lasts all day and into the night. With low usage and good signal I can go 24hrs + with out a charge.

The low sides of the device are mostly in the hardware. I have been through 3 Pre's, all for harware failures. The auto backup will reinstall your programs and contacts, but doesn't save your backgrounds or any of the settings on the phone. This means that you have to re-arrage all of your icons every time you reset and reload the phone. I can only hope that this gets picked up in a future update. I also use the touchstone. I dislike that the Pre screen is on the entire time it is charging with no way to turn it off and that my TS didn't come with it's own power cord.

All in all, this is a great phone and I hope that Palm comes out with some new hardware on Sprint this summer so I can get in on their latest project.
