Detailed review
I bought the first Centro unlocked for my girlfriend. It was crashing a lot and muting the microphone randomly for a couple of seconds on every call. After a decent bug tracking in the forums and as much cross testing I could do... I bought a second one dirt cheap at €100.
The second phone behaved like the first one. So my conclusion is that the first Centro was not a lemon... in fact the Centro is crappy by design.
It might be a compatibility issue with the 128kB 3G compatible SIM card from my operator F-SFR (France SFR). But it is no excuse... the interoperability tests exist so that these issues are detected during development.
I'll send the two Centros back to Palm for repair. But will never rely on them EVER. They'll be the backup of my current backup (aka plan C).
