So I was wondering which is considered more powerful and which consumes more power, the AMD Fusion or Atom + Ion? I looked around and didn't see any comparisons I liked.
Is anyone else hoping to be able to just pop an an Ion 2 card into a mini pci port on a machine with integrated graphics? Could make some machines more interesting. Obviously it wont add an HDMI port but that won't stop me.

Anand also says that this processor is a huge step up from even the A8's found in the Snapdragon chipset and the iPhone 3GS. We'll just have to wait until the end of 2010 to see smartphones running Tegra 2 :(
Anyone know what carriers we can expect Tegra chips to start showing up on early in 2010? I'm on Verizon and looking to pick up the Touch Pro2 since, from what I hear, the Tegra chip won't be making its debut on my carrier any time soon. Just want to get you all's opinions.
Im planning to buy a graphic card, and I know some of you would take it as a silly question, but my main doubt is about the vga memory diffrence of 2 gb and 1gb. Ill be playing in 1360x768 or 1080p or 1920x1200. And no dual monitor setup.
So should I go for a 1gb 650 ti, or 2gb 650 will be needed for great fps fro the stated resolutions ?
Please dont suggest me any other GPU, specially for AMD fans :)
Following the rumours of the next generation Xbox..so called Xbox 720, i am now confused. I was planning to buy Xbox, but now I am thinking of an upgrade for PC would be better. I am currently running a setup that has two monitors each paired with two computers (my Macbook Air + 27" LED Display and my PC + Asus 21.5" Monitor), and would like to get rid of my older Asus monitor, extra desk and simply plug my Apple Macbook Air into my Apple 27" LED Display when I need to as well as use this same monitor for my PC. I tried updating to the 280.26 driver for my Nvidia GeForce G210M GPU in my Sony Vaio--the install hung up so I had to reboot and now all I get is a black screen after I log in to Windows 7. I can't see/do anything after I type my password in. I get the same black screen when I boot into Safe Mode. I've seen a few suggestions to fix this problem, but all involve changing settings which I cannot see/access with this black screen. Anyone else have this issue or know of a solution?
My full Pc specs: 4GB RAM DDR3 Intel Core i5 and curretn GPU: Nvidia 9500 GT The problem with this GPU is that it fails whe playing few selected games like Assassins Creed Series and others.. This is a case that involves the Nvidia Ion GPU. VLC Media Player has great hardware acceleration but the same HD shows (downloaded with Miro) I watched in 10.10 were stuttering after the upgrade. I'm attributing the issue to a different driver since it's been fixed upon reverting.
I usually use h.264/mp4 but if anyone has a specific software+setting combo that works really well for them please share. I plug my external into a ps3 and playback like that so space is not an issue.
I just ordered a Dell XPS with "2nd generation Intel Core i7-2720 processor" 8Gb RAM and "NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M 1GB graphics with Optimus" video card. Wondering if anyone has a similar setup. Havent seen any reviews with that particular setup. Thanks
If I want to buy a gaming laptop, can anybody tell me what kind of GPU should I be looking for for a decent performance? Thing is, GPU is progressing very rapidly, yet many are still selling laptops with older gens of the chips. Any insight is appreciated.
