Is it a big deal that Novatel sold 3 million MiFi devices, in 2 years?
Saw this release: http://investor.novatelwireless.com/releasedetail.... and I was wondering what it means about the mobile hotspot market that it took Novatel 2 years to sell as many of the various models of MiFi as Apple can sell new iPhones on a launch weekend

Are there any comparisons between the Novatel MiFi 4082 and the Overdrive?
Does anyone have any comparison for this device versus the original Overdrive? I currently have the Sierra Overdrive and am not overly satisfied with it. Comcast is selling the mifi under their xfinity2go service and it's a bit cheaper - but is the device better?

Anyone having 4g reception problems? I had the samsung 4g lte hotspot but returned it because I thought the device was a little buggy.
I'm into my first day of testing. In my office my 4g signal was weak on my samsung but I was still getting about 4-6 mbps down. My novatel mifi is showing no LTE signal and 1.5mbps download.

The earlier Verizon MiFi 2200 had GPS capability, but Verizon disabled this. Does anyone know if the GPS can be enabled on this device?
The reason I ask is that I would like to buy an Android tablet. Some of the WiFi only tablets are interesting, but may not have GPS. I would like to have location services available to my tablet. If the MiFi can provide location services, then I can easily write some code to fetch the location info and provide it to Android.
So I have an iPhone 4 that I use for streaming music and the like while I'm working.
Sadly, the building I work in kills 3G and there is no reliable Wifi near my floor. I tried a MiFi that a co-worker had the other day and it worked beautifully for me. So, while I am thinking about getting one I'm wondering if this would be a worthwhile investment or are there better options for me?

Charging issues with Novatel MiFi 2200?
In my haste to get out the door in the morning, sometimes I inadvertently grab the wrong charger for my various devices. One of them poses a particular problem -- the charger for my Novatel MiFi. It seems like that unless I specifically grab its charger, that trying to charge it with any other plug that accepts a USB -> micro-USB cable is fruitless as the thing ultimately ends up dying. Output on the Novatel charging brick is 5V @ 1.05A. I guess the issue is that all the other charging bricks...

Does Novatel MiFi 2352 have a larger problem with charger or device?
Since I got my device in August I can't charge my Mifi with the supplied charger. Several repair attempts failed. http://blog.perstechlife.com/2009/10/22/mifi-2352-... As I now have found more cases with the problem there might be a larger problem. Anybody else with charging problem on the MiFi 2352? PersTechLife

LED is solid red, MiFi doesn't work
Yesterday, my MiFi started blinking red. I tried to charge it, but the power LED just turned red. Now it doesn't work at all - if I turn it on, the LED just turns solid red. The status light never turns on at all. When I connect it via USB, the VZAccess software doesn't detect it. I've seen a few other reports of this, and they all say that Verizon replaced the device because it's a hardware problem. I'm calling Verizon today, but if anyone knows of a way to fix this with...

What do the colored LED lights on the MiFi mean?
I'm currently on a road trip, roaming around the western United States and Canada. Ryan was kind enough to let me borrow his MiFi router. It's been pretty awesome, but one thing has been bugging me. What do all the color variations of lights mean? After some searching, I found the answer! I figure that others might be interested as well: Power LED: -LED not lit: No power to modem -LED Blue (Solid): Modem is on and you’re roaming -LED Green (Solid): Modem on and fully charged -LED Green...

PDF Manual?
Has anyone been able to find a PDF manual for this device? I prefer that to paper manuals since I can keep the PDF with me on my netbook whenever I need it. I perused the Novatel and Verizon sites, but the most I could find were the 1-2 page data sheets.
