I Just got my Adam with Pixel Qi display today. Overall the build quality is quite good.
This was a relief since I had heard so many negative things about early units. Notion Ink seems to be getting their act together. I just hope that they manage to stay relevant in what is sure to be a rapidly expanding market. The back-lighting on the Pixel Qi display is a bit on the dim side. I am of course unable to compare directly to an LCD equipped Adam but based on other LCD tablets, it seems a bit dim. I wonder if there are any hacks to increase the maximum brightness of the back-light....

Just got my Notion Ink Pixel Qi Wifi tablet last week and am loving it so far.
Just being able to use it in the sun with the backlight turned down was worth it alone for me. I think it will be really rock when it gets ported to Honeycomb which the developers are in the process of doing right now. The current implementation of Android on the device is buggy and can crash, especially since they didn't provide a way to cleanly unmount external storage devices But it's speedy with it's 2 gig of RAM though only a paltry 8 gb of internal storage, though it has...

So - a lot of boxes in the blog, but I'm not seeing any recent buzz around this device - it appears that more current-seeming machines have grabbed the…
spotlight. 4 Haves (at least one of which is probably fake) on here, for such an anticipated device, also bodes quite ill - even bearing in mind that this site is, relatively speaking, seething with the Apple-addled. What's the story? Is mass availability / locally supported units (I'm not buying otherwise) actually a potential reality with this unit?

And only one remains! I just deleted a whole bunch of tablets from my want list. Most of which were probably nothing more than prototypes.
But it included the Blackberry Playback (I've got a Galaxy Tab) and the Archos 10" (too little, too late). Only the Notion Ink Adam remains on the want list. But the question is, can they deliver before anybody else gets a good 10" Android tablet that isn't bound to a carrier into the stores?
Specs missing from "About":
- Coffee Maker - Kitchen Sink - Personal Teleportation Emitter - Pull-out Lightsaber Srsly, Notion Ink... When do we see something apart from renders?
Hey guys, I got an interview with the CEO of NotionInk Rohan Shavran recently.

Convinced the wife we needed three of these, and she actually went for it!
One for me, one for her (she's a teacher, tablets are perfect for that) and one to hang in a dock in our kitchen as a central hub (email, GVoice, Skype, Grocery lists, GCal, home security cameras, you name it). I will be devastated if it ends up vaporizing.

Notion Ink Adam launch now pushed back to Q1 2011.
When can we start officially referring to this as vaporware? If it is ever released, it sure does sound cool though. The latest specs: For $498 USD -- WiFi, 3G, A-GPS, with a Tegra 2 system.

Am I reading this wrong, or are they hinting that the Adam will be the official Google Tablet?

Battle of the AndroidPads and ChromePads
With the HP Slate looking like a dud (netbook sans keyboard), it seems the most usable tablet not called iPad will be one of this crop: - Dell Streak 7 & 10 inch versions - Notion Ink Adam - WePad - Unnamed MSI Tegra 2 powered tablet Votes on which of those will actually turn out to be the most useful device? The WePad looks like it's heading the way of the HP Slate after their Windows-7-video-playing-demo. And, in my opinion, the interface looks like crap. The Notion Ink Adam has the most...
