Are We Over Plastic Smartphones?
details
There is no doubt that the Samsung Galaxy S III has an impressive spec sheet. Even though the phone doesn't bring much new to the table, it appears that it will be competing with HTC's One X for the throne atop the Android mountain. One part of Samsung's new device has me less than impressed though.
The device is a totally plastic, wholly generic, typically Samsung design. In the age of One S, X, Lumia 900, and the iPhone 4S, the look and feel of the Galaxy S III is out of step. Build quality... Read more →

Nokia N9 - Anybody going to get one?
details
So after reading several glowing reviews and seeing a the hardware up close, I am dying to get this phone and some Meego action. I was still on my original Sprint Pre when HP decided to murder webOS, and at the time I went and did a Pre 2 Sprint conversion and planned on just using that indefinitely. But now....

If this is confirmed, it doesn't at all bode well for the future of the N9. In a sense, I'm happy. It took me awhile to divest myself of a dedication to Nokia products, and the N9 tempted me pretty badly. If I know that the N9 is going to be a disappointment before waiting it out, I can emotionally allow myself to go to Android. http://gizmodo.com/5655882/vp-of-meego-nokias-upco...

I'm both excited and angry about this phone. I'm excited because I love Maemo/Meego, and the phone looks good.
details
Angry because I've spent the last three years being disappointed by Nokia and only within the last two months did i successfully detach myself from the desire to "wait it out." I finally abandoned all hope that Nokia would produce something good and freely embraced thoughts of Android or WinPho. Now... here I am!... thinking that I might wait it out and see what Nokia produces. Grrrrrr.
