Conclusion: We like it

The Nokia Lumia 920 has some features you won't find on most other smartphones, including wireless charging; an incredibly sharp, high-resolution 4.5-inch display that's so bright that you can actually use it outdoors in bright sunlight; a touchscreen that works even when you're wearing gloves; and a camera with true optical image stabilization and amazing low-light performance. It also includes a very fast processor, plenty of internal storage, great performance on AT&T's 4G LTE data network, and very good battery life. The 920 runs on Windows Phone 8, which improves on earlier versions of Microsoft's mobile OS with a more customizable start screen, a new version of Internet Explorer, and good parental controls. The phone also includes Nokia's own very good navigation and transportation apps. show more

Nokia may crown it the most innovative smartphone, and alongside embedded wireless charging, there's plenty here to demonstrate that. But, for all that Windows Phone 8 does right (superb maps, zippy browser, simplicity), those holes in the app selection remain something that needs to be plugged.

Nokia's Lumia 920 is heavy and thick, but if you want the most powerful, feature-rich Windows phone available, this is it.

It’s ... a big step up from the Lumia 900, and it’s the first Nokia Windows Phone device we’ve seen that’s technologically on par with high-end Android devices, and even the iPhone 5. Just don’t expect it to be as comfortable to carry in your skinny jeans.

One of the first handsets shipping with Windows Phone 8, the big, beautiful Nokia Lumia 920 is the most powerful, versatile option available. But the phone itself is overgrown, and the platform has some growing to do.

All in all, though, the Nokia Lumia 920 is worth considering, if you can live with a heavy device — especially given its combination of low price and strong features.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is a superbly constructed smartphone that has an outstanding camera and an excellent screen. However, there's no mistaking the sheer size of this phone and the limited Windows Phone third-party app ecosystem can't match rival platforms.

We had high hopes for the 920, and while individual elements are great, we have come away bitterly disappointed with the overall package.

Overall, the Lumia 920 is one of the best Nokia devices in recent years -- the design is gorgeous, the display is top-notch and the camera is exceptional. It offers some innovative features that you won't find elsewhere else. But the big question will be if you're willing to take the plunge on...

The Nokia Lumia 920 isn't a groundbreaking, game-changing device, it's a refreshed Lumia 900 with a newer operating system and some additional power. That's not to say it's a bad phone, what Nokia has produced is a solid, well-built device which does the job you'd expect of a smartphone.

The Nokia Lumia 920 almost a barnstormer but is ultimately let down by a few too many niggling issues. Its optically stabilised camera does trounce the competition for night time shots but is let down by mediocre performance in good lighting.

The design is unique and sharp, the performance has improved dramatically from earlier Windows Phones and the camera is amazing. Does that add up to an experience that outweighs the platform’s many limitations? For the majority of consumers, I don’t think it does.

When you mix in the phone's heft, poor battery life, and a lack-luster app selection, all of the positives don't make up for enough of the drawbacks.

This is a fantastic phone for someone who is a dedicated Windows or Xbox user, or someone with a patient streak who spends most of their time on the web. Users who rely on a healthy app market may find that this is a great phone held back the limitations of its software.

I thought the Lumia 900 was the best work of art from Nokia... the Lumia 920 is the Monte Cristo. By far the most intuitive people first phone. My point and shoot camera is obsolete now thanks to this phone.

My last phone was a 1st generation Samsung Focus. So moving to this device was a big leap forward for me. The screen is sharper, the operating system is so much faster, and all the improvements in WP8 are great. I'm not much of an app guy, as WP has most of what I need built into the operating...

I have it for a week now and enjoying it more and more. Very few and minor software glitches so far and great navigation apps from Nokia. Despite of its dimensions and weight, 920 does not feel bulky nor heavy. A friend of mine who is a huge iPhone admirer (has a 4s), spent 10 minutes playing...

The Lumia 920 is the third Lumia I own (started with the 800, switched it to the 900 and got the 920 during the Build 2012 conference). I had the 920 pre-ordered before Build, so I would have gotten this anyway. Where should I start? The phone is a joy to use, Windows Phone 8 brings some...

Very solid for Phone and I love the OS. I know many people have issue with the weight of the phone, but I like it, feels sturdy. But I'm a big guy and with large hands. If this is an issue for you and you like WP8 then I will go with the Lumia 820 or HTC 8X. Another thing I like is that you can...

I've had the blackberry storm. Original droid, htc trophy. Lumia 800(dev phone). Samsung gs3. And I currently use the 920 and the iPhone 4S which work gave me. I have the yellow Lumia 920 that works on AT&T. The glossy yellow hardware of this smartphone is truly striking, so daring, a real head-turner. I come from a Lumia 900 so I am familiar with the precisely machined polycarbonate and solid feel. The 920 is heavy, but not so much for a 4.5"...
