Conclusion: We like it

The Nokia Lumia 920 has some features you won't find on most other smartphones, including wireless charging; an incredibly sharp, high-resolution 4.5-inch display that's so bright that you can actually use it outdoors in bright sunlight; a touchscreen that works even when you're wearing gloves; and a camera with true optical image stabilization and amazing low-light performance. It also includes a very fast processor, plenty of internal storage, great performance on AT&T's 4G LTE data network, and very good battery life. The 920 runs on Windows Phone 8, which improves on earlier versions of Microsoft's mobile OS with a more customizable start screen, a new version of Internet Explorer, and good parental controls. The phone also includes Nokia's own very good navigation and transportation apps. show more

Nokia may crown it the most innovative smartphone, and alongside embedded wireless charging, there's plenty here to demonstrate that. But, for all that Windows Phone 8 does right (superb maps, zippy browser, simplicity), those holes in the app selection remain something that needs to be plugged.

Nokia's Lumia 920 is heavy and thick, but if you want the most powerful, feature-rich Windows phone available, this is it.

It’s ... a big step up from the Lumia 900, and it’s the first Nokia Windows Phone device we’ve seen that’s technologically on par with high-end Android devices, and even the iPhone 5. Just don’t expect it to be as comfortable to carry in your skinny jeans.

One of the first handsets shipping with Windows Phone 8, the big, beautiful Nokia Lumia 920 is the most powerful, versatile option available. But the phone itself is overgrown, and the platform has some growing to do.

All in all, though, the Nokia Lumia 920 is worth considering, if you can live with a heavy device — especially given its combination of low price and strong features.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is a superbly constructed smartphone that has an outstanding camera and an excellent screen. However, there's no mistaking the sheer size of this phone and the limited Windows Phone third-party app ecosystem can't match rival platforms.

We had high hopes for the 920, and while individual elements are great, we have come away bitterly disappointed with the overall package.

Overall, the Lumia 920 is one of the best Nokia devices in recent years -- the design is gorgeous, the display is top-notch and the camera is exceptional. It offers some innovative features that you won't find elsewhere else. But the big question will be if you're willing to take the plunge on...

The Nokia Lumia 920 isn't a groundbreaking, game-changing device, it's a refreshed Lumia 900 with a newer operating system and some additional power. That's not to say it's a bad phone, what Nokia has produced is a solid, well-built device which does the job you'd expect of a smartphone.

The Nokia Lumia 920 almost a barnstormer but is ultimately let down by a few too many niggling issues. Its optically stabilised camera does trounce the competition for night time shots but is let down by mediocre performance in good lighting.

The design is unique and sharp, the performance has improved dramatically from earlier Windows Phones and the camera is amazing. Does that add up to an experience that outweighs the platform’s many limitations? For the majority of consumers, I don’t think it does.

When you mix in the phone's heft, poor battery life, and a lack-luster app selection, all of the positives don't make up for enough of the drawbacks.

This is a fantastic phone for someone who is a dedicated Windows or Xbox user, or someone with a patient streak who spends most of their time on the web. Users who rely on a healthy app market may find that this is a great phone held back the limitations of its software.

A lot of effort has gone in to try and make the platform relevant, and it pretty much is now. The device is beautifully designed and practical to use (despite being a little heavy, it feels good). The OS needs a lot of features and apps added. Skype has been sabotaged on Android on purpose as the...

What an amazing phone this is. All the reviewers said this is a heavy phone this and that. Let me tell you this phone is not heavy. It feels fantastic in the hand. I bought the red lumia 920 from att. I was stunned at the crisp, high definition quality of the HD motion plus screen. The live tiles...

I love my Lumia 920 (black) and the WP 8 ecosystem. For me there are enough apps available and more are coming every day. The only issues I have is with camera that sometimes white colors seems too yellow during daytime recording, but I think a software update for that issue is underway. The...

Just had it a few days, but will definitely keep it. My main concern is that there seems to be a glitch in accessing my Office 365 teamsite. MS has escalated this and hopefully will fix quickly. Window 7.5 worked with it and Win8 does not. Major faux pas by MS.

After 3 iPhones over the last 4 years it's good to be back on a Nokia phone. The Windows Phone OS really is a nice environment to be in. More focused on social integration and gaming. Fantastic camera on the and will get even better once the firmware update is available widely. Initially battery...

Design is incredible. Weight just wasn't the issue I thought it would be. I love holding it and using it. Only weakness is the music and app ecosystem. For example, no podcasting apps like Instacast with auto downloading and playlis management. Or running ups with custom intervals and voice...
