The Lumia 620 is a budget phone offering good performance and an attractive design. It sets a new benchmark for low-price smartphones.

The Lumia 620 is a good budget Windows Phone, especially if you're in the UK or other markets with direct carrier support. However, in the US, it's only available as an unlocked import, for about $300, about the same price as an unlocked LG Nexus 4. According to Engadget, the 620 "represents a new high-watermark for entry-level smartphones, regardless of OS," and "delivers real-world performance as good as Windows Phones that cost more than double." Wired UK also likes the 620, citing its "a nippy processor, decent camera and a perfectly fine screen, plus useful extras like NFC and Nokia's Maps, Music and Drive features." As with other Windows Phone models, the 620 runs far fewer apps than Android or iOS smartphones, though as Engadget suggests, its price may encourage "the more-gadget obsessed" to "pick up the Lumia 620 as a second device to give Microsoft's mobile OS a try."

Nokia's Lumia 620 smartphone successfully delivers a complete Windows Phone 8 experience for a low price, but buyer beware of some compromises in battery, sound, and design.
Read the full review →The Lumia 620 has none of the problems of Nokia's 920 (size, high cost) and the 820 (high cost) but is a lovely, charming and pleasant phone to use. ... This is, in short, a winner, and honestly probably just about the best WP8 device out there.
Read the full review →Reset your expectations of a smartphone. Stop thinking of it as an either/or decision Android or iOS; put yourself in the mindset of the everyman. We’ve praised Windows Phone before for its suitability to a new smartphone user, and the Lumia 620 fits that category well.
Read the full review →The Lumia 620 isn't quite an entry-level device, but it's a reasonably accessible route into the world of Windows 8 for the less well-heeled. Nice to see that Nokia hasn't held back on the spec, with a nippy processor, decent camera and a perfectly fine screen, plus useful extras like NFC and...
Read the full review →The Nokia Lumia 620 is a revelation, showing that budget Windows Phone mobiles don’t have to be riddled with compromises and lack any semblance of personality. Top-notch hardware design, plenty of power and a feature list that betters many Android phones at the price should make this the gateway...
Read the full review →There's not a whole lot that the Nokia Lumia 620 does wrong. As an all-round, jack of all trades budget handset it does a great job.
Read the full review →If you’re after a Windows 8 Phone, the Lumia 620 is a good if not great option. It’s affordable but lacks the apps and expansion options of Android. The Office and exclusive Nokia Drive and Music services really need a bigger screen to show their credentials.
Read the full review →The Lumia 620 has a good screen, a nice user interface, great responsiveness and good sound quality. On the downside, it takes poor quality photos and has low battery life.

Read the full review →We'll happily recommend the Lumia 620 above its similarly priced Android competition, and it's the ideal smartphone for those looking to give Windows Phone 8 a spin.
Read the full review →Nokia has done a good job with the Lumia 620. It’s crammed Windows Phone 8 into a small chassis that has swappable backplates for added appeal. The company has also included the free add-on apps that help distinguish the Lumia range. With NFC on board for future-proofing, too, the Lumia 620...
