It's tempting to sneer at Nokia's use of the "PureView" classification to describe the imaging technology used in the new Lumia 920 phone. Afterall, most people have come to associate the term with the PureView 808 and its 41-megapixel camera. As eager as I am to own this handset, I'm pretty leery about the $699 price tag. While I'm sure the camera tech is worth it, it's still a decent hit on the pocket book. I bought my N8 about a year after its debut. At that time, it had dropped from $549 (as gdgt has it listed) to $399. Waiting a year for $150 isn't something I'm necessarily inclined to do at this point. Engadget reports that you can now pre-order a SIM-free Nokia 808 PureView from Nokia Italy, for €599, or about $780. Is it worth it to become one of the first owners of this 41-megapixel cameraphone?
Is it just about form factor or there should be something more to help me decide between the two?
