Detailed review
An interesting controller, for sure. It has so many uses that it's almost wrong to review it as a whole.

In one case, it's a remote. You point it at the TV and move a cursor around. This is not it's best quality, but it works. It's not as accurate or responsive as you want it to be, and it always ends up being a little awkward to select something on the screen. When you move the remote, you end up over shooting or under shooting the distance a little bit.

In another case, it's a tennis racket.. or it's a baseball bat.. or it's a steering wheel... The Wii Remote has an accelerometer inside, so it can respond to movement. This has given it a ton of uses in games, just like the ones I mentioned. It's great in sports or racing games, as a steering wheel, or an accessory of the sport like a racket or bat. It even works as a bowling ball. And it does it pretty well. Playing hands on games like this on the Wii is great because of the controller. Of course it's nothing like playing the actual sport, but for a video game it can be a whole lot of fun.

The third use is my favorite use, but that's because a lot of my favorite games are the older ones. Turn the remote sideways, and it's just like a Nintendo controller. It's awesome. This works great for older games you can buy online, and one of my favorite Wii games, Wario Land: Shake It! You play the entire game with the controller like this - it's like a old Nintendo game with modern graphics. One of my favorite games for the system.

This is the part where I should wrap up my review. As my reviews are just a string of thoughts, and I'm not a very good writer, I'm usually not very good at this part. The Wii remote is unique, and it's interesting, and it opens up the way for some new ideas and good games, but in the end, I can't say I like it one bit over your normal everyday hand-held controller. It was a good idea, just not a long lasting one.
