Got this for Christmas a year or two ago, and I had great fun with it. For a few months. Played Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and a few other Nintendo titles. Then I realized that those were the only good games available, the Nintendo titles. The remote control is hard to get used to, coming from the Play Station 2, the motion controls are gimmicky, at best, the batteries die to quickly, the software seems half baked, and all the cross platform games that come to the wii seem awfully gimped, not having any, or any good DLC, Guitar Hero:World Tour is a great example. None of the good downloadable songs made it to the Wii. Also, the 512MB built-in memory? Lame, it almost necessitates purchasing a large capacity SD card, to even try to keep up with any other console.
So, the Wii. More of a party console, not good for anything more than that.
