Detailed review
My Super Nintendo Entertainment System is probably my most used and most liked gizmo that I own. It may not have the high-definition graphics that the more modern consoles have, but it provides a great experience for all. This system was the best thing that ever happened to gaming.
Nintendo put together what I believe is the greatest library of games any console has ever had. From greats, like Mortal Kombat, to classics, like Super Mario Bros., to my personal favorites Super Mario RPG and Super Metroid, this library is stacked from head to toe with awesome games that provide unique experiences which formed a basis upon which all games have been made.
This baby was built to last. I have had my SNES for over a decade and it still runs great. The only complaint I have is that the power cable is faulty so I have to keep it at just the right angle or else the system will shut down. I am pretty sure this was from the times it fell off of stuff backwards and landed on that cable but I can't be sure. The system itself, though, was built like a tank and survived more spills, drops, and dog attacks than it should have. It has outlasted my N64 which died suddenly and disappointingly.
The only downside I ever had with the SNES is the fact that there can only be two people playing at a time. Four player support would allow me to play this system with my friends without a majority of bored people watching.
I would strongly recommend anyone who still owns a SNES plays some more because, though old, it is a classic and the stories are far better than most modern games.
