I bought up all the Donkey Kong Country games a few months ago and just started playing them recently. This first game is pretty sweet but I didn't expect it to be so hard!! If not for the save point in each world, I would be completely screwed!! I really want to beat these and the original game boy games as well!!!

mega telly and crap graphics
Hi there Just got my old super famicom plugged into my sony lcd 40 inch mega telly and the graphics are absolutely appauling as the image is so stretched that you now se all the blocks. I am rather dissapointed but the irony is the fact that the joypads still remain utterly fantastic to use. Emulation is great butt he inability to use the original pad really puts me off or limits my wanting to play the game for long. p.s. games playing are Axelay, SSF2, and final fight. also the 32 meg wildcard...

Favorite Games?
What were some of your favorite games for the Super Nintendo? I've always been a sports game freak myself and I absolutely loved NBA Jam. I loved how unrealistic it was and all the corny catch phrases.

Best Console Ever?
Many (including me) have the SNES as the current GOAT of consoles, but there is a growing contingent of people who think the PS2 should hold the crown... when having a discussion about best console; can you include the PS1 library of games since the PS2 is backwards compatible? (I don't think so and since the launch PS3s were backwards compatible it would have the strongest argument) If the question was something like you could only bring one console to an island, I understand that being a...

How is your SNES holding up?
Mine is broken... I was living in Korea at the time, when my dad bought it from Japan on a business trip just after it came out. I loved it so much, and I had a blast playing Mario and other great games on this system. Since electric plugs in Japan run at a different voltage than plugs in Korea, I had to use one of those voltage converter boxes. And one day, while forgetting to pull one of the switcher levers on it I plugged it in and... I fried the inside circuitry and essentially burned out...

Has your SNES succumbed to oxidation?
Just curious how many fellow SNES owners have one of the following: - A SNES that is all yellow due to oxidation - A SNES that is partially yellow due to oxidation - A SNES that is grey, factory perfect If you have a SNES that is partially yellow, please indicate which portion has turned. Why it happens: http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives... Also, how many of you have the original SNES you bought/got back in the 90s?

American Vs European SNES
The American version of the SNES always jars me. The European version was so much better looking.
