Detailed review
Nintendo is known for redesigning their handhelds every few years. A few years after the Game Boy Advance SP fixed most of the flaws of the original, it was time for a new redesign so the Game Boy Micro was released.

Just like it's name implies, the Micro is tiny. It makes it very easy to take it with you everywhere. The Micro is also the most rugged Game Boy ever built. Its outer case is made of metal, and the front faceplate is replaceable, which is great if you accidentally scratch the screen, or just feel like getting a new design. The little screen is very bright and has the same resolution as the bigger GBA's so all the games work fine on it.

The biggest problem with the Micro was that it wasn't a very relevant product. The GBA SP was already good enough for almost everybody, and the tiny screen and controls of the Micro probably turned off a lot of buyers. I never bought one at the time, but I got one used very cheap a few years later, and I was very impressed with the build quality and overall design. If you find one cheap I recommend you pick it up just to see how cool the little thing is. It's also great to give to the younger kids since it's so cheap and rugged, and it fits well in smaller hands.
