it's dual system, able to play ds games and gba games, dual screen, which allows for some unique gameplay and all around unusual, with it's mic and touchscreen frequently integrated into game play.

it's durable (i've traveled with it many times), has hours of battery life (4+?), and fits, if barely in a pocket.

the newer models certainly have brighter screens, but i dont find it overly challenging to play it outside on a sunny day.

it's also been overshadowed by newer models, so smrt is correct that new good games have been in short supply, but as a casual gamer, i still have yet to run out of older games. i just started "new supermario world" and like it quite a lot.
