The video function is pretty useless. If it could auto focus and get the lighting right in video mode it would be useful, but as it stands video is a novelty. The still side of things is just great though. So while the the video capability pushed me over the line to buy this model. It's the great stills that make me more than happy with the purchase. I am excited about photography for the first time in years. SO all in all I recommend the D90 as a really great DSLR and if you treat the video function as a bonus for use in situations where you don't have your usual video camera you can't go wrong.
