D90 with older AF lenses
details
I have a Nikkor ED-IF AF 80-200 F2.8 and a AF 300 F4 both pre 3D Matrix metering vinatage that work well with a old N8008 flim body.. I can't afford the coin to replace these lenses, but adding a digital body is possible. The D90 still has the lens motor to drive these lenses. My questions are 1) Will the D90 AF system be hampered with these lenses? 2) What metering modes will work with these lenses? 3) I primarily shoot sports, would I be better off biting the bullit for a 80-300mm range...

The D90 should work fine with those lenses. I use an 80-200 f/2.8 AF-D with it...

Nikon D90 & The Everest Base Camp Trek

Hi guys. I'm thinking of purchasing this camera for a trek i will be doing to Everest Base Camp in December this year. After discussions with Nikon reps, they stated the camera should work fine, as the weather during the day is quite warm. Nightfall shall be an issue due to the extreme cold. But i am pretty sure it should be fine, so am currently looking for the best deal. My question is, what lens should i purchase? Sigma AF 18-200mm DC OS Lens

I see the discussion revolving around the Nikon 18-200mm lens, but has anyone tried the Sigma 18-200? It is quite a bit cheaper, just wanted some thoughts from anyone that has actually used it as to its quality. I want one lens that can cover the entire range of my 18-55mm and 55-200mm as I find that I am in situations where I would like to switch between them too often and this would offer quite a bit of convenience. What are anyone's thoughts?

Questions About Upgrading to a D90

D90 Owners: I am thinking about upgrading from a D40 to a D90, but I want to make sure I know exactly what I am doing before I drop the significant (for me, a college kid) chunk of change for the new body. From what I understand, there are a number of bonuses to the upgrade, but I'm not sure if my money will be better spent on a D90 upgrade or on faster glass.
