Some owners of the AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED (including myself) have noticed light leak through the focus distance window when set to about 55mm.
Nikon Korea has issued a service notice while Nikon USA has only acknowledged the problem but Nikon in other countries, including Japan, have been silent. It is a "rare" condition as Nikon USA states but a $1900 [erp] lens shouldn't suffer from this, rare as it may be.
