I absolutely LOVE this lens. I have the 70-300mm and 35mm F1.8, but since receiving this lens I use them very infrequently. It has an incredible range from wide angle to telephoto and is quite sharp through the whole range. It is incredibly portable, and makes an amazing walk-around lens. I can pick up wide landscape shots, and zoom in on wildlife without changing lenses. Any wider you are likely to get distortion, any longer and you will have a much larger lens to carry. Occasionally I wish it had a little more reach, but I can't complain about the perfect combination quality, weight, range and zoom in a single lens.
