It's nothing spectacular, but it's range is so large that it becomes more than the sum of it's parts.

It's bulky and not particularly fast, but it's the lens that I seem to use most often. Remarkably flexible.

Overall this is seen as Nikon's "traveler" lens. Good "all in one" lens but to be honest with you you are better off carrying a 80 200 and a 24-70 2.8 if you are looking for quality images.
