For users looking for an activity-tracking wristband that tells you when and how much you moved throughout the day, the Nike+ FuelBand may work. But for serious weight-trackers or ... to track segmented workouts ... a BodyMedia band or even a Nike+ SportsWatch would probably be a better fit.

If you're interested in becoming somewhat healthy in the future, if you're looking for a wee bit more motivation to workout, or if you just want to be an active person, you should buy a Fuelband. It'll help you stop being lazy.

While it's impossible to get a complete assessment of such a device in one afternoon, I have to admire the ambition and thought that was put into the FuelBand. It feels like a quality product, and could potentially be a worthy competitor...as long as you're willing to buy into Nike's Fuel concept.

If you are energetic already then you this isn't probably for you, but like a nagging Mrs Pocket-lint asking you to takeout  the rubbish on bin day, sometimes you need that little extra push, and from what we've experienced first hand, the Nike+ FuelBand will do that for you nicely.

It's a really good looking accessory that has out-of-the-box instant accessibility and some really addictive features that should get you moving. Whether the novelty will wear off over time reamins to be seen.

I was skeptical about the FuelBand, as I have tried dozens of activity monitors and pedometers and settled on Fitbit as a favorite. But Fuelband motivates this jaded old walker to put in the steps to get the little Fuelband guy to dance every day.
