It's one of the best media players out there right now. The only issue it has is when coming out of standby (not a "cold" boot/power on), it has trouble syncing HDMI some AV recievers - particularly ones made by Onkyo.

I've been quite happy with the NeoTV 550. Negatives are that it does require regular reboots and, per the norm with consumer electronics, firmware updates are few to none. Positives are simple setup and excellent media compatibility. I don't use any internet apps or streaming services with it so...
