Detailed review
I've had three of the Nest thermostats installed since mid-December and while I like the overall concept and design, it's not without its flaws and issues. I've written a detailed history of the experience on my web site (linked below). I've had to replace one of the three due to it reading temperatures improperly, and one or more of the thermostats routinely lost it's connectivity (which means it no longer is available remotely). I've turned off the learning feature as it tends to over adjust the schedule (sometimes with no regard to what it has been told). We've come home to the house fully heated after a day of work - as it had decided that we wanted the house warmed all day long, even though we weren't home. :(

If you already had a programmable thermostat, or an internet connected thermostat, you may find that it doesn't behave the way you want and that the learning makes some odd choices.

The software has been getting better and the web site is far more usable than when it first became available. I like that the 2.0 software shows the heating/cooling that was done during the day.

As we use liquid propane to heat our house and the temperature has been wildly warm this winter season, it's been impossible to tell if there have been any savings (as it's not a month-to-month bill).
(A lot of others have added some great comments as well about their experiences):
