The $200 Droid X2 is definitely a worthy successor to the Droid X name. The design still cuts a striking profile and of course the new dual-core processor won't leave you wanting. However, the lack of LTE connectivity just might. Sure, Verizon hasn't exactly managed to get us locked in coast-to-coast with its flavor of 4G, but enough places are already online to make LTE compatibility a desirable feature. That the X2 doesn't have it has to be seen as a shortcoming. quote

To be honest, we were pretty disappointed when we first heard about the Motorola Droid X2. The lack of 4G and some hardware features--such as a front-facing camera--didn't exactly have us jumping out of our seats. However, after spending a few days with the smartphone, we have come to appreciate...

The X2 excels when it comes to handling video, apps, and other productivity features, but the camera isn't great, and I wish Motorola would just drop the Motoblur user interface.

The ... display is nice, and the dual-core processor welcome, but other elements of the smartphone fall short: the camera is still patchy unless you’re blessed with the brightest of lighting, the 720p HD limitation is frustrating, and Motorola’s decision to stick with Froyo unfathomable.

On Motorola’s second go ... the DROID X2 updates don’t do enough to push the new DROID into the limelight. And without 4G, there’s not much incentive to buy the new DROID.

This is a great follow-up to one of the best Android phones on Verizon Wireless. Tough and durable, the large but thin form-factor works well in the hand, even for fat fingers and older eyes. Motorola made the right choice by essentially beefing up the firepower in a great phone without changing...

The PenTile screen ruins this phone. Gradients render very poorly, which may not seem like a big deal, but it's very noticeable.

Screen cracked when dropped it on wood. Also, the screen is crap. You can't even tell what colors you are actualyl supposed to be seeing.
