You can now buy a $109 kit that will let you convert a Motorola Droid RAZR to a RAZR MAXX using authentic Motorola parts (though the kit is listed as out-of-stock on the site that's selling it). Right now the Galaxy Nexus is the only phone with Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Android, so on that basis alone a lot of people will argue it's the best choice if you're in the market for a new phone. I went to Motorola's launch event for the Droid RAZR today and came away with a few questions: 1. Why release the Bionic if this was coming so soon after? Given how delayed the Bionic was, should have just canceled it? 2. Why is it running Gingerbread rather than ICS? Will it get an upgrade to ICS? If so, when? 3. Well it seems with this announcement, the Droid RAZR is the tech stats are the best we've seen yet. Impossibly thin, 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 8MP 1080p camera. 1GB RAM (instead of 512 like the iPhone 4S) 4.3" screen. (iPhone needs to do this) 4G on Verizon.. it's looking good......
