The Maxx is proof to every phone manufacturer that it really is possible to make a slender (and absolutely stunning) device that can actually survive more than a full days' worth of heavy use. So what does the Maxx really offer to the rest of the mobile community? A sense of optimism.

It's a RAZR with a giant battery. Actually, the battery isn't huge (it adds about a half-ounce to the MAXX, compared with its lighter sibling), but it makes a big difference in your ability to actually use this phone — some testers boast they're able to get over 13 hours of talk time between charges. If you're a fan of the RAZR, get this one instead, and you'll be able to make it through at least a full day without needing a recharge.

In many ways, the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx is the smartphone the Droid Razr should have been. Adding a powerful battery yet keeping a slim and trim size makes this excellent Android handset extremely tempting.
Read the full review →If you want a smartphone that’s uncompromising about battery life and also includes 4G LTE connectivity, the Droid RAZR MAXX is a no brainer, especially over the Droid RAZR sans MAXX.
Read the full review →The MAXX is an above-average smartphone by just about anyone's definition. We'd probably prefer a removable battery, but the larger capacity on the MAXX lessens that pain. It wouldn't surprise us in the least to see it phase out the original Droid RAZR altogether. That's good news for new buyers,...
Read the full review →Overall, there's a lot to like about the Droid Razr Maxx. This phone has a great 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced qHD display with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass as well as a fast 1.2GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM.
Read the full review →The DROID RAZR MAXX features solid, attractive hardware and Motorola’s Smart Actions feature makes it one of the smartest smartphones I’ve ever used. Even still, I can’t in good conscience recommend this device when Verizon Wireless offers the Samsung Galaxy Nexus at the same $299.99 price...
Read the full review →Have been using my RAZR MAXX (which I won in a giveaway contest... courtesy of the superb folks at GDGT and Motorola) for about 2 weeks now. Battery life is simply awesome. I am a moderate user of the phone. I use wi-fi at home and work, listen to music/podcasts on my commute without plugging it...
Read the full review →The biggest pull of this phone is that it manages to absolutly obliterate all other phones battery life and more importantly, still have the specs to at least keep up with other phones. I had a Droid 2 global before and ease of use of the UI comes with what you are familiar with coming in. The...
Read the full review →The best phone Motorola has put out to date, this will set the path that other manufacturers will follow when designing phones for battery life. The phone is a beast, great design and solidly built phone that is easy to use and has a load of accessories
Read the full review →I finally switched my brand loyalties from Sprint/HTC to Verizon/Motorola about a month ago... I am much happier all around so far.
Read the full review →Have had the phone for about a week. A welcome relief to the surprising drain on the battery in my DroidX after it's last update. Had the X for 2 years. They are very similar in size/shape. The Razr Maxx appears to be lighter, a much brighter screen and I think the sound is also louder. The...
