Hi people! I've a question. The Droid 2 have the great Gorilla Glass Technology on the display? This would be very good.
I know that the predecessor, the dorid 1 have this anti-scratching technology, but its big brother droid 2 doesn't specifies this feature..I need to know if I'm in the correct..Thanks for your answers!!

I'm from Argentina, in my country this smartphone is called MOTOROLA MILESTONE 2, but it have the same specifications that american DROID 2.
I bought this Android because its Operating System is very stable. Its faster 1 ghz CPU's makes of this terminal an excelent alternative for exigent users, and its phisical qwerty keyboard is makes more easy to write messages and navigate on the web..A perfect relation of cost/quality.

The Motorola Milestone 2 (aka Droid GSM) specs should be either added to this page or a new page should be cloned from this one.

Anyone hear about the Droid 2 that allegedly exploded while someone was using it?
Turns out the story is potentially false. A Motorola engineer looked at the phone and says it looks like it was dropped. From the story: Things, however, may not be quite what they seem. We got word this morning from a Motorola employee involved with Droid development that the phone may not have exploded at all. The Droid 2 in question "was a phone that got dropped," the employee told PCMag. "[T]he guy didn't notice the glass had cracked [...]so when he put it to his ear, he...

SECURITY FLAW! Google Voice Actions usable on lock screen!
I just noticed today accidentally that you can press and hold the search button on the lock screen and perform anything Google Voice Actions is capable of. I am using a Droid 2 unrooted. This may affect the Droid X as well. This is a huge security flaw in Motorola's modified lock screen. Hopefully this thread garnishes enough attention so that this can be patched soon! Steps to reproduce: 1. Lock your screen 2. Press and hold the search button "magnifying glass" 3. Speak any voice...

My LG Chocolate is dying, and I'm jonesing for a Droid upgrade.
I'm looking at the HTC Incredible, but have the option to get the Motorola DroidX or Droid2 or the new Samsung Fascinate (via Verizon). Any recommendations? I really, really, really wish I could afford a Google G1, but that isn't in the cards, and wouldn't work on Verizon anyway.

Engadget gave this a 6/10. Would you rather get a DROID on 2.2 or a DROID 2 on 2.2?
I think I would have to disagree with Chris Ziegler and get the DROID 2 just because of the keyboard. After all, stock Froyo will no doubt be hacked onto the DROID 2 real soon. I have to admit the original one looked a lot more badass :P

what's up with those 4 rearranged buttons? why change it to the layout of a motoblur phone when this one isn't?

Motorola smartphones are picking up nicely, only issue is the pricing. Motorola Droid is around 25K in India.
Looks like Droid 2 will be priced competing with Apple iPhone and Blackberry Touch.

Droid X or Droid 2?
I don't think it's any secret that the Droid 2 is bound to launch this month and it just so happens to be upgrade time for me with Verizon. I'm a little torn between these two phones. Spec wise, they seem to be exactly the same according to the leaked spec sheets for the Droid 2 (though I read that the video recording will NOT be HD). It's really all based on form factor and other physical differences. What would you pick between the two?
