If you like Verizon's network and you want an Android phone with a hard keyboard, the Droid 2's your baby. But if the keyboard is negotiable and you don't mind a slightly bigger phone, you may want to step up to the Droid X. quote

If you're just looking for the baddest-ass Android phone on Verizon that money can buy, we'd recommend a Droid X or Droid Incredible any day over this, especially since all three are the same price -- unless you're hell-bent on going with a physical keyboard, of course.

The Motorola Droid 2 offers a number of improvements that make it a worthy upgrade from the Droid and certainly a top choice for those who want a smartphone with a physical keyboard.

It's still hip, but there's nothing earth-shattering about the whole package this time around—it's just a safe update.

We’re glad to see the Android smartphone segment continue to grow – we’re all for more choice, after all – but Motorola will likely find the Verizon DROID 2 makes less of a splash than its illustrious predecessor managed.

If you're looking for a Verizon Android phone with a keyboard, it's a no-brainer. The Droid 2 has a worth step up from the original Droid.

A solidly latched battery door, much improved keyboard, faster performance, and strong battery life will make the Droid 2 a great handset for those transitioning to smartphones, Android OS, or Verizon Wireless.

The Droid 2 is a winner. It's fast, has decent battery life, and includes a nice-sized keyboard for those that don't enjoy using an on screen keyboard.

I only used this phone for a few months. After I cracked the screen on the original Droid I decided to put my insurance to work and they sent me a Droid 2. It looks about the same... they made a few changes to the home row and changed the slide out keyboard (which I never got used to... but it...

I would recommend this phone to anybody wanting a DROID phone with a keyboard. It has just as good a processor as the DROID Incredible, just not as high a resolution camera.

I have the Droid 2 R2D2 Special Edition and I couldnt love it anymore than I already do. I purchased it used from eBay after realizing that I wanted more option than my previos iPhone and WP7 device. This was perfect. Decent specs, great call quality, tons of apps, and the number of comments I...

First off, the Motorola just released Froyo for the Droid X so that is no longer a consideration, the Droid X has the same specs as this phone, but has a larger screen, HDMI out, an 8mp camera, and comes with a larger SD card installed. The Droid 2 has a smaller foot print, and a physical...

See My complete review. The phone is the best keyboard smartphone on Verizon but points to the flaw shared by all devices where the OS is licensed and not buit by the hardware manufacturer. Geeks will love it where they can tweak and manage arcane deep menus, but ex-iPhone users like me will...

The phone was ok...Motorola locked the bootloader which makes rooting and hacking harder. On top of that, I broke my screen...but when I looked into repairing it myself, I found out that the most vulnerable part of the phone (the screen) is the absolute LAST part you get to when taking the phone...

My Droid lasted a solid year of being abused and dropped, but the screen never scratched. Don't get me wrong, the body had tons of dents and scratches, but I never had a problem with the screen. It was a rather big phone, and the keyboard started sticking after about 5 months, but I would...
