Would we recommend the CLIQ? Against a G1, yes, if for no other reason than the fact that you're getting more internal memory and a more robust, modern, un-weird hardware design. In the bigger picture, though, we'd keep our wallets in our pockets for the time being -- the CLIQ looks and...

With its excellent design, user interface improvements, and admirable feature set, the Motorola Cliq gives a big boost to the Android operating system. We had some performance quibbles with the device, and the MotoBlur interface can be a bit much, but the phone has a lot to like.
Read the full review →Is this the phone that Motorola needs to bring it back into the smartphone race? It could be. They were smart enough to know that just doing another Android phone wasn't enough in itself, so they pulled together and created all this social networking glue to bind the experience together....
Read the full review →Overall, the Motorola DEXT is a good addition to the Android portfolio, but can be bettered. It's good to see Motorola taking the initiative and providing consumers with the sort of device they'll want. And if it's a QWERTY Android handset you want, then it is well worth looking at.
Read the full review →The CLIQ itself is less dramatic as a device. Build quality is on par if not slightly better than rival devices and functionally it’s reasonable, but there could be a little more excitement or allure in the physical hardware. There’s a lot to like about the Motorola CLIQ – and about the...
Read the full review →We have to label the Motorola Dext in the same way we looked at the HTC Hero – MotoBlur is a good platform, but it needs a better phone underneath it before it's a true player. Like the G1 was for Android, the Dext is a marker for what Motorola can achieve, but the Dext isn't going to be...
Read the full review →(Bell Canada DEXT) I can’t help but think that having the DEXT roll out 6 months later in Canada really does hurt it as well. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the phone, but unless Motorola upgrades the phone to 2.1, or 2.2, it will probably have a short life. You’ll hit that Android...
Read the full review →This phone has a slick design and a nice keyboard, it runs android, decent processor... the touch screen isn't nearly as responsive as I'd like, but it's not a deal breaker. It should be a really good phone, but the battery is terrible. Motoblur is preinstalled on the phone, and even if you hide...
Read the full review →Got for my wife to replace a broken G1. The first thing we did was remove most of the Motoblur social crap from the home page, since it made it WAY too cluttered. They are just widgets that come pre-installed and can be removed easily. Otherwise, it's pretty standard Android. So standard, in...
Read the full review →Moto shipped this phone on the OLD Android 1.5, not even 1.6 and their support team say they will not be upgrading to 1.6 or the long awaited and anticipated Android 2.0 --- this is the WHOLE reason I dumped my HTC Google G1 for this phone -- to get to Android 2.0. Excellent phone overall....
