At least I did before it happened to me Saturday night. Updated my console, bought some videos from the PSN Store, watched the videos and then, when trying to back out of Folding at Home a few hours later, discovered my console had locked up. After I tried, unsuccessfully, to restart it, I killed the power with the hard switch in the back and tried to reboot. The green light would come on, but neither the TV nor my controller recognized that there was a PS3 in the room. After running through the...

Is there any way to move my profile from one console to another without having to recover my gamertag?
I've been contemplating getting a 2nd Xbox 360 for the living room for about a year now. I haven't committed yet because I don't want to have to redownload my gamertag every time I want to play in a different room. Now that Flash storage is availible, if I save my profile and all associated autosaves etc. on that and plug it in to another console will I be able to carry on playing as if I were still on my original console? If not, If you have multiple xboxes and have come up with...

Windows Media Connect
I've had my Xbox 360 for just over a month now, and the biggest complaint I have with it is its capacity as a media centre. The main problem is that I am unable to transfer any media from my PC to the consoles HDD, which kinda makes the 250GB disk a little redundant in my mind. I've set up so I can stream the stuff on my drive to the console, but I'm finding the experience to nothing short of horrific. I refer specifically to the lethargic response time whenever I press a button...

New 360 to be released soon?
Hey everyone. I've got a launch Xbox 360 still chugging along, but the 20 GB HDD is getting a little cramped for space. I was going to buy a new hard drive for it, but I figured I might as well spend a little extra money and get a new Xbox since I want one with HDMI as well. Do you guys think it's safe to buy an Elite with a 120 GB HDD now or will a new "Xbox Slim" or something along those lines be announced/released soon? Thanks!

What is a good headset for the 360 that balances quality and cost?
I'm getting pretty tired of the stock 360 headset. I'd like something to replace it so I can actually hear what everyone is saying in MW2, but I'm not keen on dropping that much cash on it (why MS didn't just give the 360 a standard Bluetooth headset profile is beyond me). I'd say my limit maxes out around $80. Any thoughts?

Elite vs Arcade
I'm planning on buying an Xbox 360 for the joy of playing Final Fantasy XIII, and I'm choosing it over a PS3 since the projector I'll be plugging it into is only SD so Blu Ray will be wasted on it. I imagine I'll get round to buying other big name games such as Mass Effect 2, but I'm generally a casual gamer. I've checked out both versions of the console and the only differences I can see are the elite model has an internal hard drive and an HDMI output. Is there anything...

Anyone else think they should have the dashboard mimic the Zune HD look?
I think that'd be great if they used the look of the Zune HD and Windows Mobile 7 and applied it to the dashboard. Both for synergy and because it's just a brilliant looking scheme

Checking out Project Natal today: any questions?
I'm checking out Project Natal today, any questions before I head over this afternoon? Can't guarantee I can get answers for everything -- I doubt they'll tell me stuff like release date or what it'll cost -- but if you have any questions about what it's like to actually use Natal I'll do my best to get answers for you.

Use a wired controller as a USB mic for PC
Any of you playing a lot of Games for Windows Live might already know about this but... If you are running Vista or Windows 7 you can plug a mic into a wired USB controller plugged into your PC and get a quick and easy USB mic. The headset comes up as an audio device and works well for Skype of Ventrillo. I always seem to have issues with regular 3.5mm headsets so this trick is real helpful. Cheers

Ideas for xbox 360....APP Store?
Maybe they should invest more in collation of their offerings! I IMPORTED my zune hd to england because i was so impressed with it. I plug my microsoft zune into my microsoft xbox and i have no extra support at all. Nothing compelling for cross sales at all. microsoft could have used one device to sell the other here. Instead of putting apps on the zune hd - where in my opinion we don't need it - why don't microsoft stop being a reactionary company and inovate by putting and app store on...

DJ Hero is a blast!!
I will be the first to say I thought this game sounded retarded when it was first rumored and then announced. I didn't know who it was aimed at or if it would be any fun. Still, I put it on my Christmas list and Santa (my girlfriend) answered and, about 10 hours of gameplay later, I am pretty hooked! After Monday night football last night, I played until about 2 A.M. and have had many lengthy gaming sessions with it since I xmas eve. And I'm only now finally about to unlock all of the...

360 for my casual-gaming girlfriend?
My girlfriend and I have been debating whether to add a Wii or 360 to our currently console-less household. We had originally tended towards a Wii because of all of the fun ninendo titles and general casual-gaming focus. We really want to be able to play a lot of fun party-style games, and Wii Fit (or a comparable exercising game) is attractive as well. However, I used to be a hardcore gamer (as life has gotten in the way, I have done less gaming but still love it) and seeing all of these AAA...

good headphones for gaming?
I'm currently looking for a good pair of headphones around the >$200 range. I will be using them mostly to play on the 360. It doesn't have to have a mic on it, just looking for a good sound quality and ability to hear subtle changes, footsteps etc...

Bad time to buy a used Xbox 360 console?
Just saw this: http://gaming.icrontic.com/news/craigslist-flooded... Now that Microsoft is banning modded consoles from Xbox Live it looks like lots of people are selling them off on Craigslist and eBay, so be careful if you're buying a used 360, make sure it hasn't been modded! Unless you don't care about connecting to Xbox Live, that is.

Multi-player via Xbox Live and/or system link are no use to me since I only have console btwn all of us. Also, I don't need death match multi-player games. I already have several FPS games and fighting games. The noobs get turned off when they dont win....

Wired Connection to XBOX 360 using MOCA causing network issues
I have tried to use a MOCA solution to get a wired connection to my XBOX360. I use it to watch media stored from my Vista Media Center PC, which acts as a DVR. When I try to watch HD content, I get a lot of network issues and stutter even though the speed checks out to be anywhere from 41 MBPS to 77 MBPS. Has anyone used a MOCA solution for this? If so, can you advise on what else I need to check in order to get better results. I have tried updating the network driver on my desktop, but it has...
