The Xbox 360 is both cheaper and more expensive than the Wii depending on the model. All models are cheaper than the PS3. However, it does not feature integrated WiFi (requiring a separate purchase of nearly $100). The Xbox 360 is rumored to have a price cut later this year (possibly bringing the Elite version down to the current Pro model's price)
It is also the home of Xbox Live, including Xbox Live Arcade, Netflix, Last.fm, a video marketplace and more. A gold subscription is $49.99 a year but can be bought cheaper via online cards. A gold account is required to play online multiplayer games and watch Netflix. Silver accounts can still download demos and buy games.

Has anyone gotten anyone had the issue where the Xbox stops reading game discs? My Xbox boots fine, but when I put in a disc, it spins up the drive, but thinks there's no disc in there.
