to your Xbox, via WiFi, and they turn out pretty good. No need to convert to H.264 or anything. I was considering getting the Apple TV, but now there is no need. Works great!

HP PC + Windows 7 + Xbox 360 Arcade: More Great Offers!
As promised last month, flagging a few great offers that many of you will likely want to check out, especially students. Microsoft has been working with retail and PC manufacturer partners to offer great deals on a variety of Windows 7 PCs. Sometimes it's hard to choose the best technology right for you when there is a myriad of choices AND still afford that little something extra (like an Xbox 360 Arcade!). Microsoft and its partners are trying to help make the decisions a little easier...

I traded in my my 360 elite, with 120gb hd and wireless adapter at Gamestop. The Xbox was $100, the HD was $40, and the adapter another $40.
With trade, I paid $118 + tax for a new xbox, a bigger hard drive, built in wireless, and a warranty. Totally worth it in my opinion.

The only reason I will not get the New Xbox 360 is because I actually use the memory card slot and have since the beginning.
My girlfriend and I have our profiles on two cards and take them between the bedroom and living room xboxes and sometimes over to friends houses and her house in another city. I understand you can use USB sticks now, but there is no need for it so far since everyone I know has the older style Xbox 360.... other than that, the new model is pretty impressive. I wish it didn't have the power brick but oh well.... I'll probably just get an Xbox Elite once they drop the price since...

About the Xbox 360 naming...
the original Xbox 360 is called the Xbox 360. the new (smaller, quieter, wi-fi N) Xbox is simply the New Xbox 360... Microsoft's semantics, not mine... :)

My Xbox 360 (now out of warranty) recently went RROD. Normally, I would be very unhappy.
However, now I have a killer reason to pick up one of the beautiful shiny black models. WIN! ^___^

One thing that will make this a win in my book (aside from not RRODing):
Not sound like a jet engine when turned on.

So I just watched the video at Engadget where they're testing out the new dashboard that uses the Kinect motion controls.
I was disappointed. The controls looked somewhat clunky and not necessarily intuitive, with big sweeping hand motions that I have a hard time thinking are comfortable to use for such simple controls. Where's the seamless gesture-based interface that we've been expecting? But then I remembered that this is a 1.0 device. The reason Kinect is so exciting is that it's taking this style of UI out of the realm of science fiction and putting it into living rooms. I think we can expect...

The correct name is "the new Xbox 360." It's stupid, but that's the truth--just check any of Microsoft's marketing material.
Shouldn't someone change the name on gdgt?

Why still no slot-loading drive....?? I really love that on the other consoles........
other than that, bravo!!

So here's the thing. I would love to get one of these for my big TV and move my old 360 into another room to use for Netflix, DVDs and Zune videos.
The problem is, Microsoft still only lets you use your gold account on one Xbox at a time, which essentially makes this a no-go for me. What are the chances that they're ever going to change that policy? I've got $300 for them if they ever do.

Love how I added the pictures here to the product but Ryan felt the need to overwrite them with the.. same.. photos.
What's the point of allowing your members to edit products if you're going to edit what they just did? C'mon.
