Turtle beach headphones connected to xbox360 slim hdmi ceiling hung projector
details
Does anyone know how to connect this? I have a ceiling mounted projector and Xbox 360 slim and Turtle beach headset. I have an HDMI cord going from projector to Xbox. I bought the analog audio adapter and plugged it into the back of the Xbox. I plugged the headset into the white and red component plugs of the adapter. Headset doesn't work. What did I do wrong? Any advice would be most appreciated. I haven't been able to find the answer to this anywhere.

Call it the Surface Player: Why Microsoft needs an iPod touch competitor
details
Maybe I'm only saying this because the Zune HD never got the love it deserved, but Microsoft should come out with a Windows Phone-based competitor to the iPod touch (i.e. a smartphone without the phone part). Why? Because it would help establish Windows Phone as a viable platform. Challenging the iPod touch isn't going to tip the balance for Microsoft all on its own, but having one could make things a little easier (and it probably would not upset Microsoft's OEM partners as much as doing a... Would you buy a Microsoft tablet?
details
Word is that Microsoft is planning to announce its own tablet at an event planned for next Monday. While plenty of companies recently announced Windows 8 tablets at Computex, Microsoft apparently feels it needs its own tablet to compete effectively against Apple. As All Things D puts it:
Sources say that Microsoft concluded that it needs its own tablet, with the company designing both the hardware and software in an effort to better compete against Apple’s strengths. Microsoft’s tablets may... Read more →

Xbox 360 Network Storage Server Idea
details
Many households, organizations, and events have multiple Xbox 360s being used. Transferring content from one to the other frequently through Cloud Storage or flash drives can get repetitive.
What if there were a NAS (Network attached storage) server that could store all the data used for all Xbox 360s on the local network? Things like profiles, game saves, movies, and even games and DLC could be installed on it. It would become the assigned device of the digital download licences. It would be... Read more →

Buy a Windows machine, get a free Xbox 360 (if you're a student)
details
It's that time of year again—just like last year, Microsoft is offering a free Xbox 360 system (4GB) to any student in the United States or Canada who purchases a "qualifying" Windows PC worth $699 or more ($599 in Canada). This is to catch all those kids just out of high school and getting ready for college.
The deal begins May 20 in the US, May 18 in Canada. Just show a valid student ID to one of the participating retailers for the freebie. Those "participating retailers" include Best Buy,... Read more →

Rumors are showing up today that Microsoft is looking to release a new Kinect bundle next week at a subsidized price of $99. This will get you the Xbox 360 4GB + Kinect + 2 years of warranty + 2 years of Gold membership for $99 on a two year contract. There is reportedly some extra content but nothing has been specified yet as to what the content is. The caveat though is that there will be a $15/month charge which will also have an early termination fee attached to it. Oh yeah and for the time... Read more →

mlb.tv 2012 :: Which connected device is best?
details
The MLB TV service is available for many connected devices this year (http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/index.jsp?co... including Xbox [new], PS3, Roku and AppleTV.

I was wondering if one device was better than others in terms of featureset and performance for the 2012 version of the MLB app when connected to a 1080p HD TV.

Why does microsoft permanently ban people?
details
I would like to take the time and thank microsoft enforcement for ripping off multiple customers over the years. Just because your great at a game does not mean your a cheater, hacker, modder. Perminantly banning accounts is an excuse for microsoft to sit on their throne and be tyrants in their jobs. Please do not allow them to continue to abuse the power they were given. Microsoft enforcement is a bunch of nerdy, picked on little children who hate to lose at video games and the result is they will... Read more →

Price of the Next Generation of Video Games
details
Talk of the next generation of home consoles is starting to appear on nearly every video game website. It got me thinking about what the price will be per game. With every generation, the prices of games have increased by $10.
Now I don't know about everyone out there, but $59.99 is my limit and the game has to amazing for me to even consider purchasing it at that price. I do most of my shopping on Amazon.com and I wait for their video game sales.
Yet I can't say that I feel confident that games...

The big dashboard update for the Xbox 360 has begun rolling out. What are your impressions?
details
After a bit of a delay the new fall update is rolling out. For those of you who have gotten the update what are you impressions so far? Do you like the the new metro look?

Edit: looks a big change was the Netflix UI and it's not too bad. I like being able to select audio subtitles as an option now. However I can't seem to identify how one restarts a currently watched episode. I wonder if anyone else is finding different changes that are for the better or worst yet.

Alright, who will be playing the Battlefield 3 beta and on what system?
details
It's one of the most anticipated games of the year. I've long been a Battlefield fan over the Call of Duty series, so I'm super excited. Are you?
I plan to dive into it via PS3 this weekend. (Find me on PSN: "rockbandit007")

What system are you going to be playing on? Maybe we should create a gdgt platoon! (And if I ever seen "[gdgt]" in all caps, that's grounds for immediate court martial.)
