- Ease of use Much easier to use than Windows XP, Vista and 7 when you get used to it.
- Speed It boots and runs faster than Windows 7. All you Windows 7 humpers should shut up about the speed, this OS blows 7 and OS X away.
- Configurability Easy to configure, that's all.
- Ecosystem (apps, drivers, etc.) Windows 7 drivers work for those who need drivers, so that's good.
- Openness Microsoft, as well as Apple, are horrible for openness, although MS is pretty much on top compared to Apple.
Detailed review
Windows 8 is a pretty good OS. I found it easy to use and I feel that it integrates mobility more than OS X where it's just slapped in your face. I mean, I will have NO USE with notification center on a computer, and Microsoft knows that. I found it easier to use than Windows 7, although there is a small learning curve for some people, I understand.
The speed is FANTASTIC, not even Mountain Lion can beat it. The "Windows rot" isn't there anymore after installing a few pieces of software. Configuring the OS was easy from first-run to settings.
Drivers and openness are so-so.
