  • Ease of use Classic Windows environment but with a twist. The Metro UI is amazing and easy to use. Familiar and accessible to anyone who's used a smartphone and/or Windows. good
  • Speed It Increased the speed of my crappy Acer laptop by a great deal and looks great doing it. Also runs well on my 2006 Mac mini also it's especially nice on 1080p. great!
  • Configurability You can switch around your apps on your Start Screen as well as add new ones through the Marketplace and regular desktop environment. It's smart and a win win! good
  • Ecosystem (apps, drivers, etc.) It's Windows. You can't really beat Windows with anything. Except a new version, 8 does just that, adding not only desktop apps but also Metro UI apps. WANT!! great!
  • Openness Some things are downers (can't change Start Screen Background out of box). But again, it's Windows, almost anything can be changed anyway. coughBluePoisoncough good
Detailed review
Coming from Windows 7, this is a fantastic update for my crappy laptop. It runs smoothly, it looks great, and recognized almost everything out of the box (graphics excepting). Overall a great product, perhaps the best Redmond has ever released. I think it will be a great value once released. My only gripe is that I had to use BluePoison to change the Start Screen background. Speaking of Start Menu I actually like it. Also of note is that the built in apps are quite fun and run well, looking forward to getting the Windows App Store on here soon.

EDIT: The graphics issue is fixed, I just had to download the Intel drivers, they didn't come out of the box. Works great now. Mostly snappy and fast, great UI. I'm extremely excited for the Public Beta to hit so I can get some of the new goodies and apps that will really make Windows 8 Redmond's crown jewel.
