Multiple touch/pen monitors in Windows 8?
details
I don't actually use a Windows 8 desktop yet, but I'm looking to move this way soon with not only my DIY, but also when my usual choice of workstations start shipping with W8 - so I'm also holding off on some replacements until they are available with W8.
With W8 I'd like to incorporate touch in the overall experience. The 'easel-style' touch monitors on the market however appear to top out at 1080 23-inchers right now so I'm also going to hold on for a while to see if WQHD ones appear in the... Read more →

What bands does the Asus Vivo Tab RT 3G use?
details
I'm still looking for a solid 3G-equipped Windows 8/RT hybrid/tablet, and came across the Vivo Tab RT from Asus, which has 3 different variants, despite them not showing up on the site (fix it!): Wi-Fi only, 3G and LTE. I do not need the LTE model, as there is no LTE network in Israel, so i will save a few bucks by purchasing the 3G model, if it would prove to be a valid choice.
The bands this device uses are not listed on Asus's website, nor anywhere else that I looked on the web. I need it to... Read more →

Is there any Wndows 8 tablet / hybrid with cellular connectivity?
details
I'm looking for a new tablet that can be useful for some word processing and viewing Microsoft Word documents, and came to a conclusion that a Wndows 8 tablet / hybrid is what I need, because it has full MS Word support. I was looking at the Surface from Microsoft itself, but I also need a 3G-capable device so I can use it anywhere. I don't live in a country that has 4G LTE networks, so that's not important for me. Is there any Windows 8 device with support for 3G connectivity? And if it has an...

Google Apps email on Windows 8
details
I have a Google Apps domain account email address, and it won't connect using Windows 8. I'm using an application-specific password for my two-factor authentication, and nothing.

I've seen other people online with this issue, too. I've tried using it as a new Google account, and as a new Exchange account.

Does anyone know of a backlit Bluetooth keyboard specifically designed for use with Windows machines?
details
I've been looking for one for a while now and haven't been able to find any that are designed for use with Windows. I've come across various options designed for the iPad, Android tablets and game consoles, some of which work with a PC, but require the user to implement some sort of a workaround for basic Windows keys like, well, the Windows key. I've also explored the option of other wireless technologies (especially Logitech's unifying receiver), but finally settled on Bluetooth because of its... Read more →

Windows 8 Consumer Preview on VMWare Fusion 4: Mouse Clicks not recognized?
details
I am having a huge problem with mice not registering. Keyboard works, pointers work (though the cursor sometimes disappears), but mouse clicks only work sporadically. I have used both my Magic Mouse and a Microsoft wireless mouse with the same results.

I am on a 2009 Mac Mini with Lion and 4 GB Ram (2GB for the VM)

This issue makes the whole OS unusable, obviously. Anybody else having this issue?

Why does my 24" 1920x1080 monitor have less tile space on the start screen than my 22" 1680x1050 monitor?
details
On my 24" display the tiles are larger so I can only have 3 tiles high on the start screen. On my 22" monitor it is 6 high which is much better. Something to do with the aspect ratio? I find this frustrating as a lot of monitors these days are 1080p and only being able to fit 12 double size tiles on the screen isn't particularly great on such a large display.
