Clicking the scroll wheel is what toggles the "mode" it is in. There is no way to change this behavior in the control panel (in OS X). I wish there was a way to lock the wheel into flywheel mode as I never use the click mode. Then I could click the wheel for a middle click as I'm used to with other mice.

i love this thing for google reader. i change the forward/back buttons to "j" and "k" to allow me to quickly mouse through my feeds, works so wonderfully on my desktop and laptop, just the best mouse.

I bought this mouse about 7 months ago to use with my macbook pro. Originally, I planned to buy Apple's Wireless Mighty Mouse, but decided against it after hearing so many people complain about the itty bitty trackball that become unfunctional after only a few months. This mouse is rather small, but it fits perfectly in my small hands, and it works perfectly. What more can I say? :]
