Low base volume on Onkyo HT-R640. Why?
details
So I bought a used HT-R640 a few weeks ago and finally got around to hooking it up. Everything has been amazing, but for some reason in order to hear anything we have to have the volume up in the 60s.
My setup is as follows:
TiVo HD -> Logitech Revue -> Onkyo HT-R640 -> Samsung UN32D4003
This is all being connected via HDMI.
Speakers we've got hooked up are all the ones that came with the unit: front left/right, center, surround left/right and the subwoofer.
I've heard that it might be a... Read more →

Anyone having problems contacting Logitech support?
details
I have a bad unit that is having video issues. A few weeks ago, before the update rolled out, I used the online email feature to send them a support request, which they replied to promptly with a suggestion to hard reset, which seemed to fix the problem. A few days after the update, though, it reappeared and now I can't get a reply by their email, chat, or phone support options. Do they have only 1 person manning the ship now, or did they just shut it down and say to hell with the customers?...

What is the best media player on the market right now?
details
I currently have a HTPC running XBMC in my living room and have been wanting similar set up in my bedroom without the need for a full fledged pc. I saw that Plex now works on GoogleTV, as well as Roku, with a true market app but I know the GoogleTV reviews have been less than stellar.
The Boxee Box has always intrigued me but when I used the desktop software I didn't find the interface to be too great plus the apps like Netflix were pretty lackluster. Have they improved since the device &... Read more →

Anyone else having video glitches on the Revue while watching Netflix?
details
In the past week or so, I have started having random video glitches that will start happening after using Netflix for a while. Last night, it kicked in at 13 minutes into the video. Once it starts, I usually end up having to pull the plug on the Revue to get it to stop. I have a Sony Vega CRT TV and the effect seems to be a cycling through hertz / refresh rate combos that cause the tube to glitch and make crackly sounds as it goes into the unsupported modes.
I am not sure if the video card in the... Read more →

When will the Logitech Revue get the Google TV 2.0 Update?
details
Anyone know if this applies to the Logitech Revue? I got the following email this morning claiming that I would get an upgrade this evening, but most blogs report only Sony-powered Google TVs are getting the update with the Logitech Revue still a little while away.
-----------

Few quick questions about the Revue...
details
1. The Logitech Remote Android app... does it merely replace the keyboard or can it be used to control music playback without looking at the screen? In other words, if it is playing music over DLNA, can I be in the kitchen and switch to a different artist or will I have to walk into the living room and look at the TV to control it at all? 2. Has anyone found a comprehensive list of what music and video codecs it can play over DLNA? 3. Is the keyboard RF or Bluetooth? If Bluetooth, have you tried... Read more →

Does Google TV do local content?
details
From everything I've seen, the Revue seems solely focused on streaming online content. This isn't terrible for me since all my stuff is in Google already, but I also have a ton of local content that I'm currently streaming to my Boxee Box, the current king of local content. Does Google TV have a method of doing this that isn't half-baked?
