Logitech's laser mouse is accurate and cordless, with long battery life. What more could you want in a mouse?

When I had first purchased my MX 1000 probably shortly after its initial release, I had chosen it just solely because it had a laser vs. the typical optical tech at its time. Also I was interested in how a wireless mouse would feel instead of being limited by the cord. It is now 2011 and...

This has been a great mouse for me. I bought it 6 years ago and it's now in it's twilight. The only problem I have faced with this mouse is the charging base. It was a pain in the ass to use. Logitech has fixed this problem in later mice however. I'm going to miss the mouse when I replace it.

Long battery life, works almost anywhere, nice fit. It gets a 9 because it doesn't want to charge sometimes, and it's not great for online FPS games. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one when I wore it out, I might buy a third if I can find some old surplus.

Decent construction, cradle back seems flimsy, although never a problem. Never had a problem gaming with it (response time over wireless is really good). Biggest problem is that the contacts on the bottom corrode/rust, requiring the use of a thumbtack or other abrasive item to scrape off the...
