Conclusion: We're mixed

Whether you need to work long into the night and would rather not turn on every light in the house, you want an illuminated keyboard to pair with your home-theater PC, or you just think it looks damn cool, the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard will do the job. Its brightness automatically adjusts to ambient lighting levels, and a motion sensor turns it on when your hands are near. However, unless you have a strong aversion to battery chargers, you should skip this model, and get the wireless version, which sells for about the same price as this one.

The keys on the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard are comfortable to use and emit a satisfying click, but it lacks convenient features we've come to expect from a PC keyboard. Nevertheless, we think this Logitech is a practical, affordable, and convenient keyboard that manages to look sexy at the same...

The Logitech Illuminated Keyboard - with its well-implemented backlighting - has a lot of advantages and features over standard desktop keyboards with its hybrid notebook/desktop key layout that puts it ahead of the competition. All in all, this keyboard comes highly recommended for both office...

I would rate this keyboard's key response as equal to any Thinkpad laptop I have used (and I have used quite a few). It's very solid, very clicky, and a pleasure to type on overall. Durability-wise, it's holding up better than any keyboard I remember. The plastic on the keys must...

Most Illuminated Keyboards are directed towards gamers but with the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard, you get the best of both worlds. With a super thin, laptop-like profile but the button action of a regular keyboard, you sacrifice next to nothing for a sleek looking design and all around well...

I received this for a gift and have been naturally happy with it, partially because of the illuminated keyboard (something I've come to expect being a Macbook Pro user), partially because of the design, partially because it works 'good enough' on a Mac. This keyboard roams around...

I've had this a couple of weeks and really like the light. It's not annoyingly blue like many other illuminated keyboards. Blue LEDs (while cool looking) give off that annoyingly distracting haze in a dark room. On the lowest setting, this keyboard is bright enough to type by. Even on...

After having used this keyboard for over a year, I can say this is one of the best keyboards of its kind. The illumination is an amazing feature of this laptop and allows for me to work at night. Brightness of the keys can be changed into different settings. Typing on the keyboard is silent...

So the Gyration keyboard I've had for approx. two years finally kicked the bucket. Unfortunately, there aren't a ton of places where I can go out and test keyboards when I feel the need, so I was stuck driving down to Best Buy. They had four models out on display...all of which...

Very responsive yet also very quiet key action. Smooth, sleek, and cool design. 3 levels of brightness for backlit illumination of keys. Best keyboard I've ever purchased!

When I first got this keyboard, I was apprehensive, because I was coming from a tall, ergonomic keyboard. The Logitech Illuminated Keyboard is much closer to a laptop style keyboard in design, so I worried that it might cramp my hands during long typing sessions. I was very happy to find that...

This keyboard is very slim and the backlight feature is great. You can adjust the level of the backlight to suit your lighting conditions, which is a welcome surprise.

A decent keyboard. Nothing special. It's got low-movement keys that I think are supposed to mimic the feel of chicklet style keyboards, but it's really nothing like that at all. It's just a low-movement low-profile normal keyboard. With backlighting. And VERY basic media controls.
