The Harmony One certainly does some things well compared to previous models.

For a start, the charging cradle just works. Seems obvious, I know, but the Harmony 880 was appalling when it came to it's cradle.

This remote feels good in the hand, and was dead easy to setup for me, especially as I already had the 880 and just transferred my settings from the old remote. Disappointingly, my custom button settings were not transferred (which the setup does warn you about), but I honestly cannot see any reason why it would not transfer across.

The touch screen was the one area where I was most concerned about with this remote, and with reason. As a user of a HTPC using this remote I have a lot of custom button set up for my HTPC activity. The touch screen for me has two disadvantages. Firstly, it only allows for six buttons per page, rather than the eight on the Harmony 880. Secondly, as the buttons are touch screen buttons, I now have to look at the screen to ensure I hit the correct button.

This remote would be almost perfect with hard buttons all around.

But do I have Buyers remorse? Heck no.

UPDATE: After using this remote for a few months I have noticed that I will often get remote signal being repeatedly sent to my devices (forcing the volume on the TV all the way up or down, or pressing "Enter" key on the HTPC and having it bury into the menu items, or open dozens of windows. Another press on a button will generally resolve the issue, but I find it frustrating.
