I have one and like it. My parents are struggling with new remotes after finally upgrading everything for HD. I told them they need this remote, but that they're going to have to wait until I can come home to set it up for them. I wouldn't dream of subjecting my parents to the special hell that is setting this thing up.

Replacement for Harmony 880?
My Harmony 880 is having issues (buttons no longer work, battery issues). This a good replacement?

We just moved and got a new cable box, so we need to setup our Harmony One again...
I'm absolutely dreading this process. Ugh. Seriously, has anyone done some sort of open source project that is more intuitive to use than what Logitech provides? I'm going to be ripping my hair out again!

So who out there has a HTPC set up?
I figured with all the discussions going on about GoogleTV it could be a fun time to find out what the Gdgt community is doing in the terms of HTPC. Hardware: Windows 7 32bit machine with 4GB of Ram, 1TB Drive and an ATI HD4350 video card doing video & audio out over HDMI. Software: XBMC with the Alaska Revisited skin I control it via my Harmony remote that is working together with Eventghost to properly map the buttons. I'm hoping the HDHomeRun CableCard tuner comes out soon because...

Adding classy icons to your favorites screens
The Harmony One and 8xx support custom icons for your favorite channels, and the software has several included for common channels. Here is how to get great looking icons onto your Harmony One. 1) Go to http://iconharmony.com 2) Find the icons for your favorite channels. Check the boxes under the ones you want: when you are done press the "zip icons"...

Touch screen or buttons?
Which do people prefer? I had the harmony 525 before this and I personally preferred nice solid buttons, sure the touch screens look nice but its so easy to slide your finger across and muck up your setup. I would of stuck with the 525 but it crashed and never came back on.

Any NEW Harmony remotes releasing anytime soon?!
I've always wanted one of these "smart" universal remotes, and have had my eye on the Harmony One. But never gave it serious thought due to the lack of compatibility with the PS3. (if I can't replace ALL of my remotes, what's the point -- 4 remotes down to 2, is an improvement, but not worth the price of admission) With the release of the Harmony PS3 Adapter solving my final issue, I'm extremely tempted to finally take the plunge... But before I do, I wanted to know if...

the number pad
I'm trying to figure out, is the number pad actually usable? As when I look at this remote, it looks all aerodynamic and comfy to hold - all except the 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 + 0 E so what would you say?
