I know this is a really basic question, but as I understand it, the main feature of this remote is it can fire off sequences of commands like 1. turn on av receiver, turn on tv set, change tv source to bluray player, etc. What if one of the devices is already on (like the receiver being left on from listening to music via airport express from pc). I presume the harmony wouldn't know that and things would get fouled up. Right?
Does this remote have IR built into the remote itself so that I can turn on my TV that is in front of me while turning on all of my equipment that is in closet that is behind the TV. If it doesn't then I will have to string one of the IR transmitters from the RF receiver back to the TV; if it is long enough.
I'm considering the Harmony 900 and I've heard it can control lighting. Which brands/models of lighting control work best? I prefer not to spend a lot but I want to be able to turn on/off and dim the lights.
