Issues with scrolling on Mac OS X 10.8
details
Does anyone have problems with scrolling on Mac OS Mountain Lion? I have the latest version of drivers and still (especially noticeable in games) it quite often scrolls a bit without any interaction from me. Uninstalling Logitech drivers solved the issue but I can't use any of additional buttons and can't check battery status. Any thoughts?

After installing the software for this mouse on my MacBook Pro, I could not boot up!
details
I get stuck at the grey Apple logo screen. I have fixed permissions in the disk utility and verified the hard disk itself. I think my only option at this point is to reinstall Lion. What a total disaster when all I wanted was a new mouse! Any ideas?

Battery Life
details
I love this mouse since it's compact enough to carry around and works on just about any surface imaginable, but I've been really disappointed with battery life. The VX Nano I had before it would last at least 6 months with two new AAA batteries.

Does anyone get similar results or is my unit a dud?

Ergonomically this is the best travel mouse I've used. Works well with Windows and OS X, and it doesn't take up any space in my laptop bag.
The only issue is the buttons can become mushy or fail to work. Logitech is great on replacements though, but I've always had a 2nd mouse in case it dies.
I recently found out the dongle fits inside the mouse--once you remove the battery cover! I had been carrying the dongle around in the mouse bag for 3 years before finding this out.
Battery life is good. On 2...

They messed this up...
details
This is plainly an updated VX Nano - but they took out one of the best features of the Nano, the index finger back/forward buttons. Why? It makes no sense. The index finger buttons were much more comfortable to use on a tiny mouse like this, and it made it so that left- or right-handed users could enjoy the mouse. If they really wanted to add side buttons, why didn't they just keep the top buttons? Is 4 buttons really too many for a mobile mouse? This would have been the perfect travel...
