The Linksys E4200 v2 makes a great upgrade to the original version and an excellent investment for those who need a fast, feature-rich, advanced, yet easy-to-use router for the home or even a small business.

Cisco’s Linksys E4200 looks pretty, but we value function over form ... We shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to enable the router to perform at its best.

All-in-all the Cisco Linksys E4200 is a potentially lightning-fast 5GHz router that doesn't seem to make the most of its expensive abilities.

Previously, I had a WRT610N router. My house is 3,400 square feet, and it sat way up in the front. At the back of my house, I would not get a decent signal, and absolutely none outside. Enter the E4200 Maximum Performance. I have a mixed PC / Apple environment, HP laptops, iPads, iPhone,...

I don't use the router options as I have a seperate cable modem, but as a pure Wireless-N AP it is very good quality with truly impressive range and through put which is why it was purchased over other much cheaper AP only products.

Good product; 5.0Ghz range not as good as promised; Media Server does NOT work as advertised. Company has known this and continues to advertise features even though firmware update is pending but not published.
